STADIUM BUILDING
Like many in the community, we have a huge passion for panoramas and building our own dream stadiums. Creating the authenticity of the real game is such a satisfactory pastime, and really adds to the feel of the videos. Here you can find photos of our projects, and their designs.
ESTADIO BIELSA
Our flagship stadium, designed and built by Big Chris as a tribute to Marcelo Bielsa with a definite Elland Road theme to it. The top division and cup finals are played here when possible. The lights shine down on the hallowed turf, creating a real atmosphere to the games.
Sadly - due to downsizing - Estadio has been taken out of commission. Just be careful when mentioning to Big Chris.... But... another stadium build opportunity! Watch this space.....
The Estadio Bielsa comprises three sides and one open in order to play competitive matches in the space afforded to us.
The goals were made by the brilliant Peppe Cafaro, who designed them based on the Leeds United 97-98 season goals.
PEACOCK LANE
Peacock Lane has gone by many names... "The Dynamo Arena" and the "Division 1 Arena" to name two (there probably is only two prior names). This stadium was named after the street where Chris and Dave once lived. Originally, it was the Division 1 Arena as that was where all the games were played, until the Estadio Bielsa underwent a transformation to become playable in comfort.
The design was based around Halifax Town's "Shay Stadium", with a tribute to Nigel Martyn and influences of Dynamo Nubbins F.C present in the long stands.
GOTD Arena
The Game of the Day Arena is our lower division look stadium. The stands are all custom made with 5mm plastic packers (builders shims), MDF, grey humbrol spray and seating/crush barriers from 'Mini Soccer Builds'. We love this look because the games feel so much more personal, and having a dirty pitch (painted using 'dry earth' from a craft shop) gives it a real non-league feel, and like you are really up close and personal with the game. The stands are easier to play around as well with their reduced height.
In a lot of videos, the ends behind the goal are used from this Arena design because they feel so great to have as part of your panorama, and especially on Derby day for Chubbins Athletic vs Dynamo Nubbins, as both ends are dedicated to each team. The Chubbins Athletic fans occupy the "WSA Stand" in homage to our friends over at Watsie's Subbuteo Art.
